Mixing, Mastering, Editing :

*Are you tired of your music sounding like a $10 mix? If so, you will want a proper mix and master from an LA professional. Contact me and we will help you reach the sound and quality you desire.

*General notes, policies, and prepping your files for the Mix and Mastering procedure

How does it work?

  • You send us the song to mix with a general or specific direction you want us to go in.

  • I will process the song until we have completed the mix to my professional industry standards.

  • Then I will email you a link for you to download your new mix.

  • You download it, and listen to your song. It's that simple!

How do I prep my files & send them to the engineer for mixing?

  • READ THIS ARTICLE - START HERE

  • SEND US YOUR FILES THROUGH OUR DROPBOX

  • The best way to send me your multi track session files is to send the individual tracks in WAV or AIFF format (do not change the sample rate or bit rate).

  • All the tracks should be consolidated from the starting point of the session ( consolidate regions command in Pro Tools) and sent to me in separate stems. Make sure all tracks are in correct time and aligned at the same start time from the beginning.

  • Please label each stem file correctly (ex. Main Vocal, Kick drum, Guitars, etc.) This makes it a lot easier when discussing possible edits, importing them into pro tools, and for general tidiness of the project.

  • Turn off all processing & effects. Compression, reverb, etc. should be removed from the tracks and sent dry. However, if you feel the effects are essential to the intended sound then by all means leave them on.

  • It can be very useful to include notes on how you want the track to sound and even by supplying your own rough mix for me to get an impression of the general balance you originally intended.

What is not usually a part of mixing process ( should be handled in production/editing)

  • Send us ONLY the tracks that you want included in the Mix / Master. Sorting out takes and comping together a final part is NOT part of the mixing process and will require an additional charge for editing.

  • Clean up your tracks! ( extra noises, sloppy edits, pops, clicks, improper fades, lip smacks, chairs, etc. )

  • Make sure pitch and timing are issues are corrected before it reaches me.

  • Following this steps for preparing your files for professional mixing will save you money, and is the proper thing to do if you want to maintain a good working relationship with a professional mix engineer.

Revisions

  • Once you hear our mix, there may be things you want to change about it. Simply email  or call me with your change requests and I will implement those changes and send you another updated mix. Again you download and listen, and if needed, you can make more change requests. This process goes on until I have finished the mix to your satisfaction.

  • Any revisions are billed at our normal hourly rate.

Completion

  • Once your mix is complete, I will upload a "watermarked" file and send them to you online for your FINAL approval, or I can then begin mastering them for you.

  • All payments must be made in full before any final non watermarked files are released - NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • All payments are sent and invoiced through  "Paypal".

  • After final payments are made I will send you your files through dropbox links for download.

*We always keep you in the loop and never leave you guessing what is happening with your music in order to assure a great final product.
