Brown Donkey Studio is a residential  home studio. Depending on the size of your project we can track Guitars, full Drums ( our Alesis Strike Pro house kit ), Bass, Woodwinds, Keys, Vocals and basically anything else that makes a sound.  We will also edit, mix, master and produce your music as well.  

 

This is a Pro Tools ONLY studio ( we don't like Logic ) that comes with both a House Engineer & Alesis "Strike Pro" drum kit ( if needed ). Simply put, all the software and tools of the trade are here to crank out the product you need.  We are not a fan of name dropping all the versions of "this or that" we use because it really doesn't matter anyway. Also, we don't feel the need to "gear list" and although we currently run a MAC system, the PC/MAC argument is just dumb in general.

Our location offers more affordable rates with a smaller intimate setting. This allows us to work with local musicians, demo seekers, much smaller budgets and offers better pricing compared to large studios that are no longer the only option ( and disappearing fast ). If you want the big studio experience my best advice is to just go there and pay their rates. You won't be hurting our feelings.

Since we  don't rely on this business as our main source of income needs,  we are selective as to who we work with. Like you, it has to be fun for us too or its simply not worth it. As every project is different, we try our best to structure our rates to accommodate the artists we work with.
